A lot of couples debate whether or not they should do “first look” photos on their wedding day and there are a lot of pros and cons out there.
I have had a lot of couples do this before their wedding ceremony and none of them have had any regrets!
Candice and Jake decided to do “first look” photos before their ceremony. For them, they just wanted to enjoy their ceremony and spend as much time celebrating with family and friends.
So if you are tossing up the idea, let’s have a look at some of the POSITIVES (no negatives here):
You get to see each other FIRST - before any of your guests!
If you are nervous about your ceremony, you can calm each other down and know that the pressure of the “first look” in front of family and friends has been relieved.
It is a special moment that you will remember forever - simply breathe, reflect and hold each other tightly.
You have more time to take pictures before your ceremony and more time to spend with your guests after your ceremony.
Depending on the time of year and the time your ceremony, you may lose ideal lighting if you wait to take your photos at the end of the ceremony.
You will both be fresh - fresh makeup and hair!!! And if you shed a tear (or two) then you can just freshen up ready for your ceremony.
The best part - NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!
I hope that the above gave you some food for thought, and maybe….. just maybe, these incredibly sweet images by Emily Howlett Photography might convince you!
